{"id":6614,"date":"2023-02-14T10:45:59","date_gmt":"2023-02-14T08:45:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pavlakis-moschos.gr\/?p=6614"},"modified":"2023-05-19T13:30:31","modified_gmt":"2023-05-19T10:30:31","slug":"cliff-jumping-is-not-regulated-neither-authorized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pavlakis-moschos.gr\/en\/cliff-jumping-is-not-regulated-neither-authorized\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cCliff Jumping\u201d is not regulated neither authorized"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<div  style='padding-bottom:10px; ' class='av-special-heading av-special-heading-h3  blockquote modern-quote modern-centered  avia-builder-el-0  el_before_av_hr  avia-builder-el-first  '><h3 class='av-special-heading-tag '  ><span class='special_amp'>\u201c<\/span>Cliff Jumping<span class='special_amp'>\u201d<\/span> is not regulated neither authorized<\/h3><div class='special-heading-border'><div class='special-heading-inner-border' ><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<div   class='hr hr-default   avia-builder-el-1  el_after_av_heading  el_before_av_textblock '><span class='hr-inner ' ><span class='hr-inner-style'><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \" ><div class='avia_textblock  '  ><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A British tourist was severely injured while taking part in cliff jumping that were part of the water-sports recreation activities provided by an independent water sports\u2019 enterprise on a Greek island.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Court of Appeal of Egeon awarded the victim compensation for the damages suffered, on the basis that the water sports\u2019 provider did not meet the duty of care that was required under the circumstances for an average diligent provider of such services, although he had created a dangerous situation, and had not taken the measures that were necessary to prevent an accident.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Court further held that cliff jumping is not falling under the water sports\u2019 activities that are regulated by the General Port Regulation 04 \u03a5\u0391 3131.4\/06\/94 (\u03a6\u0395\u039a \u0392 579\/1994), which provides that a special approval and license by the Authorities is required for \u201cnew\u201d and not regulated activities, which was not present in this case.<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6830 size-gallery\" src=\"https:\/\/pavlakis-moschos.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/cliff-jumping-3-845x684.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"845\" height=\"684\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pavlakis-moschos.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/cliff-jumping-3-845x684.jpg 845w, https:\/\/pavlakis-moschos.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/cliff-jumping-3-495x400.jpg 495w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 845px) 100vw, 845px\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":6830,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[33],"tags":[134,136],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.10 -
